Views of Seaside

Transportation varies in Seaside

Caption taken from the Internet

The Turnaround at Seaside, Oregon, is designed as the official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. In 1990, a bronze statue of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark and Seaman,  was installed facing the ocean at the west end of Broadway at the Turnaround on the center of the Prom. The monument commemorates the 18 month, 4,000 journey from Saint Louis to the Oregon Coast ( by sculptorStanley Wanlass).

Beautiful weather on the coast brings out crowds of people.

Our favorite place to enjoy the ocean is at the Cove at the South end of Seaside

Surfers and  kite flying

lots of seagulls just waiting to be fed. (unlike the ducks and geese, they do not like cracked corn)
Ocean fishing

Love this multi colored boulder. I would think it's color comes from different minerals?

And across from the boulder, beautiful tall grass

Where we have called "home" for the last four days. It was very convenient, close to the horseshoe pits, pickleball courts, pool tables and the indoor swimming pool.

  1. Great pictures of Seaside. Looks like you are enjoying yourselves. Sometimes we get suet from the butcher shop to feed the seagulls. Someone also told us dry cat food is good for them.
