Events of the Week

A recent visit to a friends home. The water was as calm as a mirror

I love all the seasons.  This pretty little leaf was just laying on the grass, but there were plenty more that color on the tree just waiting its turn to twirl to the ground.

Two of my great grandsons. Brothers CJ and Dylan off to their first day of school. CJ begins the 2nd grade and Dylan kindergarten.  Funny story CJ's family are all Oregon Ducks............Check out his shirt... ..... yep, he's a Beaver!

Princess Emily will be three on the 18th of this month, but she got a early birthday present. Meet  her new puppy, BOOMER.

Earlier this week Joe and I went to Our Gelati Shop  for a cool treat on a hot evening. Outside, under the table next to us, was a well behaved nine week old Great Pyrenees puppy whose name was West. I asked if I could take a picture of him. The owner, a very nice young lady showed me where the flash was on my new Android (Samsung Galaxy S11 Skyrocket), then she even took the pictures for me. She even showed me how to put it on auto flash. This generation is so electronic savvy!  It took me two days to figure out how to answer the phone. I kept tapping the green spot instead of sliding it..............The smart phone makes me feel dumb sometimes. When the the gal got ready to leave, she tried to get  puppy to come, but he wouldn't even budge when she called.  The pavement was nice and cool and he was tired. She had to carry him to the car. I laughed as I told her, "remember he's just a nine week old baby....."

In the little town of Sandy, Oregon there is a really nice theater and out in front of the theater are two bronze statues. One of Elvis and one of Marilyn Monroe.  Because Joe is such an old movies buff, I got him to pose with two of his favorites......

Joe is using a new polish in addition to his beloved Solution.  He first applies the Solution and then finishes the auto with THE BULLET POLISH. I teased him, telling him if he polished it any more I'd have to wear sunglasses to even look at it. The product is as easy to apply as the Solution. It's a concentrate. Four ounces makes a gallon. Spray it on, wipe it off.....The two buses and the two towne cars he drives and takes care of where he works are already shiny. Can't imagine how they will look when he gets the Bullet Polish on them! One of the lady residents told him one day she felt like she was riding in a limosine because Joe was always out there cleaning and polishing them.
I don't  know about you, but there are days when I just need to lighten up and laugh a little.  I did exactly that today after I read the following that a friend sent me.  I hope it makes you laugh too.
These sentences (with all the bloopers) actually appeared in church bulletins or were announced in church services:
